The space

This adorable apartment is the perfect size for a quick getaway or a peaceful oasis during a business trip. It is separate and private- a tall fence divides our backyard and Sunny Door with its private driveway so we are essentially “neighbors”.

Bedroom: 1/2 wall divides the bedroom from the hallway to the bathroom allowing for quite a bit of privacy. The bedroom area gets dark and cozy!

Large bathroom has full size tub/shower, & large closet- enough to fit several suitcases.

The living area: comfortable couch that turns into a full sleeper sofa to accommodate more guests.

Smart TV with access to a variety of free movies as well as amazon prime video and netflix.

A full kitchen with oven, stove, full size fridge & microwave. Stocked with Coffee, instant oatmeal, & muffins to get your morning going- other grocery items available upon request (see below for more details).

Dining table to enjoy your meals as well as a separate desk with desk lamp to get some work done.

Great location for Stars, Mavs, Rangers and Cowboys games!

1/2 a mile to the trolley that takes you downtown
.8 miles from wedding venue Chijmes.
1 mile to Stevens Park Golf Course (one of the best public golf courses)
1 mile to fantastic shopping and dining at Bishop arts district
2.4 miles to the JFK memorial and about a mile to Downtown Dallas (If you choose to walk or ride a bike there is a beautiful pedestrian bridge).
1 minute walk to Kidd Springs Park- great playground along with a duck pond, Japanese garden, tennis courts- it's beautiful!
3 minute walk to Lake Cliff Park- huge open spaces.
2 miles to Trinity River, Trinity Groves & Four corners Brewery: you can arrange to kayak the Trinity, run, bike, walk it's riverside trails
Trinity groves: more unique restaurants (restaurant incubator) walkable access to the Trinity River & the Trinity

You have the entire Carriage house and two large parking spots (large trucks comfortably fit).

Additional notes

There are bikes in the area offered by 3 companies; available to rent for your adventures. If there is anything you need, let me know.

Food Packages available:
B&B package available- have your fridge and pantry stocked with fruit, eggs, oatmeal, muffins, coffee, your choice of turkey bacon, traditional bacon or sausage, and your choice of bread, english muffins, or biscuits. Cost is $12 per person per day. ($15 if only one person for one day). If you would like this added to your room cost PLEASE NOTIFY BEFORE BOOKING.

Grocery Delivery available during your stay: for a fee of $8-10 via walmart grocery delivery.

White Glove Groceries: Have your fridge and pantry stocked with your choice of groceries before you arrive so you can show up and start relaxing immediately. (depends on availability, please inquire). $25 service fee.

Guest interaction

As much or as little as you prefer! Keyless entry, separate entrance and parking. We live on property so if you need us we are right there.
We'll provide a listing of can't miss places and are happy to provide any further recommendations.

We can arrange to have your apartment stocked with groceries so you can start enjoying your stay right away. (Upon request with a small additional fee, list of items to choose from)

House Rules

- Please be reasonably quiet after 9pm as we live on property.
- Our backyard backs up directly to the apartment so you may hear some noise during daytime hours. Please advise if you have a need for quiet during the day and we will do our best to accomodate.
- Please NO SMOKING! This includes inside and outside Sunny Door. Please respect this rule- we live on property and will know. If cigarette butts are found or the apartment has a smoky smell you will be charged an additional cleaning fee of $150.00.
- No profanity or explicit music outside please.
- An earlier checkin may be available depending on the date, please ask if you need it!
- Please no pets, as much as we love them we are unable to accommodate the extensive cleaning required. If pets are brought without our consent a $200 fee will be charged.
- Respect our house as if it were yours and enjoy Sunny Door!
